Ocean Vessels!
TUTOR: Rubee Prattley-Jones
2 Hour Hand-Building Class
Immerse yourself in organic forms and textures by creating a vessel inspired by the ocean and surrounding coastal area! Translate your love of nature into a tangible object and embrace wild, lumpy, bumpy imperfections.
During this class you will be guided to pinch, coil and sculpt one or two medium-sized vessels, adding unique detail and surface textures. The vessels could be vases, tumblers, bowls, or ambiguous forms.
Suitable for beginners, or those who have some experience with clay and want to try a different approach. Feel free to bring along your favourite beach-foraged items, or images/drawings of nature - this could be shells, driftwood, rocks, sea creatures, fossils, waves, sand or anything that inspires you!

Firing and glazing (choice of 3 gloss glazes - our selection varies each term)
