We’ll explore texture and surface treatments for all types of pots, from cute cups to strange sculptures. Discover the meditative benefits of repetition and mark-making, and how the actions that relax you can reveal your artistic style, resulting in beautifully unique pottery.
During this private event your group members will each hand-build two ceramic objects of their choice. We will use basic pinching techniques to form these objects. Once formed, you can decorate the surface of your unique ceramics with motifs, patterns or illustrations using underglaze paint.
90 minute private hand-building event
Class ticket cost per participant: $68.00
· Make 2x ceramic objects each
· 1kg stoneware clay and underglaze paint included
· all tools provided
· Clear glazing and firing of 2x medium sized ceramic objects included
· Return time of objects: 4 weeks
